Q: What does a tune up from ATEC Air consist of?
A: ATEC goes above and beyond the norm to insure that your AC system is functioning efficiently and safely. We include all of the following:
- Cleaning the indoor and outdoor coils on your air conditioning unit
- Checking all electrical parts to insure they are working to their specifications
- Checking compressor condition, amp draw, and connections
- Cleaning the condenser coil
- Fan and motors
- Checking the condition of fans and motors
- Checking the electrical connections, including amps and ensuring that the contacts are tight and clean
- Chdcking fan condition on indoor unit
- Lubing motors if applicatable
- Inspection of the condensate areas
- Clearing the drain line
- Cleaning and checking drain pan
- Checking the air conditioning filter
- Checking the condition of relays, contactors, pressure switches
- Testing the thermostat to ensure it is working properly
- Testing the temperature split from the supply plenum and the return to insure home is getting proper air temperature from the AC unit
- Checking for frayed wires or any current potential problem
- Checking Freon levels
Once your AC tune-up is complete we talk to the customer and insure that all is well with their air conditioning system. If necessary at this point we talk to them about potential issues and what we recommend to remedy them. Of course, the customer is in complete control of what is or will be done.
